Minecraft: Install and use Decocraft - how it works
Decocraft is one of the most extensive Minecraft mods on the market. The addon includes many additional equipment and decorative elements. To access the new blocks, you must first install Decocraft. We show how it works and how to get started with the mod.
Minecraft: Install Decocraft
You install Decocraft in Minecraft like any other mod. There is not much to consider here:
- First install the free "Forge Mod Loader" on your PC.
- Now download the Decocraft-Mod and save the file in any folder. Then unzip the archive.
- Press the [Windows] and [R] keys simultaneously so that the Run window opens.
- Enter the command "% appdata%" here and confirm with [Enter]. Now look for the folder ".minecraft".
- There is the "Mods" folder. Drag the Decocraft file into this folder and start the game.
Minecraft: Use Decocraft
After successful installation, you can use all new elements in the game immediately. The new items are also available in saved games.
- To be able to craft the new decorative objects, you first need the so-called Decobench. To do this, open a normal crafting table and arrange five elements in it as follows: In the middle a workbench, on the left cactus green, on the top a red rose, on the right a lapis lazuli and below a block of clay. You will then receive the decobench.
- Decocraft items are not made from conventional raw materials as usual, but from crafting clay. There are red, green and blue crafting clay, all of which are newly included in the game with the mod.
- The recipe for these three raw materials is a block of sand, earth and the respective dye: red rose, lapis lazuli or green cactus. If you arrange these elements in a crafting table, you will receive the respective dye.
- Now fill the decobench with the three basic materials. In the menu of the Decobench you can see a container on the left, which is divided into these colors. Put the colored crafting clays from your inventory into this container by drag & drop.
- The bars of the container fill up immediately. They show how much of each raw material is available. There is space for up to 1, 024 crafting clay of any color.
- Once you have filled the bench with enough base material, you can choose from over 300 different decorative elements. The cost of clay varies depending on the size. For example, you need 33 red, 14 green and 25 blue crafting clay for the piano.
- If you click on an element in the bench, the new block is created at the bottom left. Drag the item into your inventory and it is ready to use.
- Tip: If you want to find out how much the individual decorative items cost, move the mouse pointer over the elements and hold down the [Shift] key.
In order to maintain an overview of the abundance of items from Decocraft, you should also install the TooManyItems mod.
