Minecraft: The main admin commands
If you act as an admin in Minecraft, you shouldn't ignore the most important commands. In this practical tip, we show you what admin commands are and what they can do. Basically the following applies: Before every command, Minecraft places a slash. You must also write all of the commands below without an exclamation mark so that they can take effect.
These are the main admin commands in Minecraft
The main admin commands in Minecraft are mostly general or affect players. We show you which are:
- "Help" or "?": With this command, you call up help and can view all commands at a glance.
- "Op" or "deop": Write a space after this command and then the player name. In this way, you give or remove co-admin rights to a player.
- "List": Are you wondering who is all online? Then use this command and find out.
- "Say" and "tell": Address your message to all players by typing the "say" command and then entering your message after a space. If you only want to contact a specific player, write "tell" and the player name after a space before the message follows.
- "Tp": Transport players by writing "tp" followed by two player names. In this way, the two players find each other.
- "Give": You can pass on items by typing the "give" command followed by the player name, the item ID and the number. Separate each point with a space.
- "Save-all", "save-on" and "save-off": With these commands you save everything manually ("save-all"), save the game automatically ("save-on") or deactivate the automatic game save ( "save-off").
Other important admin commands in Minecraft
In addition, you can use other admin commands with Minecraft, with which you primarily manage the rights of the players.
- "Kick" and "ban": kick a player out of the game ("kick") or banish him permanently ("ban"). You can also block his IP address ("ban-ip") in order to deny him access even if he wants to gain access to the server under a different name. If you want to undo something like this, you must use the "pardon" or "pardon-ip" command. Remember to put a space after all commands and then the player name or IP address.
- "Whitelist": With Minecraft you can activate ("whitelist on") or deactivate ("whitelist off"). How to control which players have access and which don't. You do this by looking at the whitelist ("whitelist list"), adding players ("whitelist add" and then the player name) or removing a specific player ("whitelist remove" and then the player name).
How to change the Minecraft world with admin commands

- "Toggledownfall": Change the weather in your Minecraft world with this command until you have reached the desired weather.
- "Time": You can also change the time in the game. Enter only the right number after this command. It is worth trying out a bit here.
- "Game mode": Even individual players can be affected by your changes. Enter the command, the player name, and then either the number "0" or "1". With "0" the world of the player can be attacked, with "1" this is not the case. So the player can above all be creative.
- "Stop": The whole world can also be ended. This happens when you enter this command.
