Minecraft Industrialcraft 2: Tutorial for beginners
The Industrial Revolution has reached Minecraft! This industrial craft tutorial gives you a first glimpse of the modification that brings a whole lot of new machines and blocks into the build-up game with electric current.
1.) Industrialcraft - First step: craft cables
- Cables are the foundation of Industrialcraft for Minecraft. They connect the power generator to the consumer machine and can be found in many crafting recipes. The raw material rubber is required for the production of the cables.
- For this purpose, rubber trees have been specially integrated into the game. You can recognize them by the dark tree trunk color. They occur most frequently in the biomes forest, taiga and swamp. Resin spots randomly generated on the trunk blocks are easily recognizable by their orange color.
- Now you need the "Treetap" to harvest this resin, which is called "Sticky Resin" in the game. To do this, arrange 5 wooden boards as shown in the picture on the right to get the tool. You can dismantle them by left-clicking on the resin points.
- However, this is not yet a usable rubber. You now have to burn the resin in the oven. For now, at least 6 pieces of rubber should be burned.
- To do this, open the workbench and fill the upper and lower rows with the rubber items. In the middle row there are 3 copper bars. You can find out how to get it in the second paragraph. When complete, you can remove 6 copper cables.
2.) Find and mine the new ores
A total of 4 new ore veins can be found in the mines. These are copper, lead, tin and uranium. You need all of this for the cables and machines of Industrialcraft 2.
- The easiest way to discover copper ore. From level 70 and lower you will find the dark orange metal. It generates in clusters of up to 10 blocks and you can mine it with the stone pickaxe.
- With the stone pickaxe you also get lead (below level 65) and tin (below level 40). But be careful: there is a high risk of confusion with these two metals, as they both have a slightly whitish shine.
- Uranium is required in the progress of the game to generate nuclear energy. You will find the green ore at a height of 64 and have to mine it with at least one iron pickaxe. After that, uranium drops as lumps.
- The other 3 ores drop as a whole block and have to be burned into bars in the furnace before you can install them in technical devices.
3.) Manufacture the first machines from Industrialcraft 2
- The "Electric Furnace" plays an important role in industrial craft. Items are no longer burned with raw material-heavy fuel such as wood or coal, but with electricity.
- The electric furnace is crafted with an iron furnace in the middle, a redstone to the left and right of it and an "electrical circuit" above it.
- To build an electrical circuit, follow the crafting recipe in the graphic on the right. The iron stove is very easy to maintain. Fill the crafting surface with iron bars except for the middle field.
- Many devices can serve as energy suppliers for the electric furnace. The simplest is probably the generator, which in turn draws energy from raw materials. Alternative power sources are the solar panel, which bundles solar energy or a nuclear power plant. Here you can also access power sources from other Minecraft mods.
- In addition, there are many other things to discover in Industrial Craft. In addition to many machines, new armor items, liquids and consumables are also included. It's best to test a lot.
