Minecraft: Java crashes - it could be because of that
Minecraft occasionally has problems with Java. This practical tip shows you how to prevent Java from crashing.
Minecraft: Java problems
If Minecraft crashes, an outdated Java version is often to blame:
- Check that your Java version is up to date. If not, install the current version. The Oracle developer will help you with a useful detection tool.
- Check that you have the correct Java version installed for your 32- or 64-bit Windows version. We explain how to find out your version of Windows.
- In addition to Java, the Java SE Development Kit must also be installed in rare cases.
Too little RAM for Java leads to Minecraft crashes
If the problem persists, allocate more RAM to the Java application:
- Search for "Java" using the Windows search. Click on the "Configure Java" file.
- A new window is opening up. Click here on "Java" and then on "View ...".
- Enter the value "-Xincgc -Xmx1G" in the "Runtime parameters" field.
- Undo the change if it doesn't solve your problem.
