Minecraft: Use Monster Spawner correctly
This practical tip shows you how to use a monster spawner found correctly in Minecraft.
Use Monster Spawner sensibly - how it works
You cannot dismantle Monster Spawner yourself. The spawning monsters are, however, suitable for a monster trap:
- As soon as you find a spawner, secure the area with torches. So no new monsters will appear any time soon.
- You can use the Spawner by setting up a trap nearby. You can find tips on the monster trap in another article.
- It is best to set the game mode to "Peaceful" while building the trap. So you can build undisturbed.
- Also, keep in mind that a spawner doesn't throw out an unlimited number of monsters. As soon as there are a large number of monsters in an area, the spawner stops. You can work around this problem by letting the monsters drift through water, for example.
- The Monster Spawner also only becomes active when you approach within 16 blocks. So don't go too far if you're after monster drops.
- When you have built the monster trap, remove all light sources. This will spawn other monsters in your trap.
