Minecraft: craft rails - how it works
If you want to cover longer distances in Minecraft, a rail system is recommended. You have to craft the parts first. In this article we will tell you what you need for this and which trick will make you even faster.
Crafting Instructions: Make rails in Minecraft
- For a simple rail you only need iron and wooden bars in Minecraft: Place the wooden bar in the middle of a crafting table. Then fill up the outer edges with three iron bars each. In this way you get 6 rails each, which you can place anywhere on the floor.
- Alternatively, you can dismantle the rails in a mine yourself. The quickest way to do this is with a pickaxe.
- However, the normal rails only provide drive as soon as it goes downhill. For straight lines, you therefore need special acceleration rails:
- In principle, you craft the same as the normal rails - but replace the iron with gold bars. You also place redstone in the lower center. The gold rails give you a strong speed boost. Therefore, it is sufficient if you set them up at some distance from each other.
- In order to be able to use the rails later, you also need a lorry. You also craft them with iron bars: use them to fill the bottom row of the crafting table and then place two more blocks on the left and right in the middle row.
- Insider tip: You can still connect the finished lore to an oven. If you then fill it with a little coal, the train will start on its own.
