If you want to play Minecraft online, you are dependent on the servers: If they are down, you are unlucky. The problems can also be on your side. We show how you can recognize this and what you can do about it.
Minecraft server down - or is the bug on your side?
- First switch to the page AlleStprechen.de. There you can see whether there is currently a malfunction at Minecraft.
- If this is the case, maintenance work may currently be taking place or the servers cannot be reached due to a fault. Try again later.
- However, if you don't see a malfunction there, there may be a problem with your internet. Therefore, make sure that you are correctly connected to the network.
- You should also check whether Minecraft is blocked by your firewall or the antivirus. Try switching off both services as a test.
- If you can then connect to the server, you have found the culprit. We'll show you how to add an exception in the firewall and share Minecraft in the antivirus.
Other solutions: Minecraft server has downtime
- A proxy server that is used can often lead to connection problems. Start Minecraft without a proxy server if necessary.
- For many Minecraft problems it can help if you delete the ".bin" folder from the Minecraft folder. This is automatically generated after the start.
- It can also help if you start Minecraft as an administrator. To do this, right click on Minecraft and select "Run as administrator".
