Minecraft: Find and tame wolves and ocelots
In Minecraft you can find and tame different animals. This is also possible with ocelots and wolves. In this practical tip we will show you how this works.
Find wolves and ocelots in Minecraft
Before you can tame wolves or ocelots, you first need to find them.
- Ocelots spawn in all jungle biomes. Make sure that the level of difficulty is set to "Easy" or higher. Otherwise you cannot find any. In addition, you should only approach ocelotes very carefully, as they are very shy.
- Similar to the ocelots, the wolves are very rare. However, wolves spawn in the biome coniferous forest or taiga. You will almost always find wolves in packs.
- If you see wool lying around somewhere, it is a sign that wolves are nearby. Because in addition to hares and skeletons, they also hunt and kill sheep.
Taming wolves and ocelots
- Wolves can be tamed relatively easily. You need some bones that you get from skeletons. Approach the wolf and right-click to feed it the bone. A maximum of three attempts are necessary. The wolf then turns into a dog and is tamed.
- In contrast, ocelots are more difficult to tame. First you need some raw fish. You can fish these from a river or sea. Now carefully approach the ocelot with a fish in your hand.
- When the ocelot is hungry, it recognizes you and slowly approaches you. The closer he gets, the more careful he becomes. Do not make hectic movements and do not turn. When the ocelot is only three blocks away, you can feed the raw fish and tame it.
