Minecraft: dyeing wool - this is how the dyes work
In Minecraft, you can dye blocks of wool with different dyes. Blocks can be made in almost any color. We'll show you how to craft with dye.
Colored wool: How to craft with dyes
All you need to dye wool is a block of wool and a dye. You get the wool by shearing sheep (right-click on sheep with scissors), dyes can be obtained from plants or can also be crafted. You can find an overview of the dyes in the Minecraft Wiki.
- To dye, you need to work with a crafting table. Here you have more options to create objects. Click on the crafting table to open the crafting window.
- Now pull the wool into the slot at the bottom left and the dye into the slot at the bottom right. You will then see the finished wool and can drag it into your inventory. Don't forget the rest of the wool and dye!
Trick: Increase your wool gain by up to 200%
With the above method, you get wool and a dye for just one colored block of wool. It is more effective to click on a sheep with the dye. This is then colored and produces up to three colored blocks of wool when sheared. The dyed wool also grows back. It is worth building a small enclosure here so that your colored sheep cannot run away so quickly.
