If you want to change the password of a Windows user, this not only works via the control panel, but also via the CMD console. We'll show you how it's done.
Change password using the CMD console
- Open the console by searching Windows for "cmd" and clicking on the result "cmd.exe".
- Enter the command "net user" here.
- You now get an overview of all user accounts. Find the name you want here.
- With the command "net user" Tim "*" the password change of Tim's account is started.
- Enter a new password and confirm it. You can then close the console.
