Make calls with the Apple Watch - so it'll work
With the Apple Watch you can also make calls and not just measure your heart rate and check messages. We'll show you the options for answering and making calls on the Apple Watch.
Make calls on the Apple Watch: answer calls
If you are called on your iPhone and the Apple Watch is connected to the iPhone, the call is automatically transferred to the Apple Watch. The smartwatch rings and vibrates.
- Put your hand on the Apple Watch display and the call is muted. So you can quickly suppress the noise.
- If you accept a call using the corresponding button or reject it, you can make calls directly via the Apple Watch loudspeaker.
- If you turn the wheel of the digital crown, further options are displayed. Here you can answer the call with a message or forward the call to the iPhone and answer it there.
Apple Watch: Call Friends
- Unlock Apple Watch and search for the Contacts app. Here you can select and call any person.
- If you tap the side button on the Apple Watch, the most frequently contacted people are displayed. Select the desired contact here and tap the telephone symbol in the bottom right corner.
- Alternatively, you can make calls through Siri. Just say "Hey Siri, call Tobias". Then Siri searches for the desired contact and calls him automatically.
