The Nintendo DSi is a handheld console that not only lets you enjoy video games, but also lets you surf the web. We'll show you what you need to consider.
Surf the Internet with the Nintendo DSi
With your Nintendo DSi, you primarily play numerous video games. You can also surf the Internet with the Nintendo DSi. To do this, however, you have to make some changes in the system settings.
- As with the Nintendo DS, you can also access the Internet with the DSi using an installed browser.
- Unfortunately, the "Nintendo DSi Browser" is not installed on some Nintendo consoles. In this case you can download and install the program for free. To do this, start the DSi shop and search for the "Nintendo DSi Browser". Before doing so, you should set up the Internet connection for your DSi:
- To do this, you surf with your Nintendo DSi via an active WLAN connection. Your Nintendo console recognizes the encryption WEP, WPA and WPA2.
Nintendo DSi: Configure Internet via WLAN
- Turn on your Nintendo DSi first and go to "System Preferences" from the main menu.
- Open the "Wireless connection" submenu and activate the connection with the entries "On" and "Okay".
- Next, switch to the "Internet" submenu.
- Use "Connection Settings" to select your own network. To do this, select "Advanced Setup", "Search for Access Point" and then the desired network.
- In the last step, enter your network key in the text field and confirm the entry with "Okay". After your handheld console has completed the connection test, you can access the Internet.
