Create puller: This is how movement comes into the picture
Bring movement to pictures with skilled pullers. Creating such an image is not always easy. However, if you have a digital SLR camera, it can do many settings for you.
Make a move - with these settings it works
There are a few things you need to keep in mind so that you can set your camera perfectly for the operator. Unfortunately, there is no instruction with which a puller succeeds 100 percent. With these settings, it almost always works:
- Set the mode dial on your digital SLR camera to T, TV or S mode (depending on the camera). Your camera will then adjust the aperture and the image will be exposed correctly. If you are already very familiar with your camera, you can switch to manual mode instead.
- Next you have to choose the exposure time. To find the right setting here, we recommend switching to fully automatic mode for a short time. Note the exposure time that the camera would set there.
- Now return to the "Aperture priority" mode and set a higher exposure time. Depending on the speed of your object, it should be significantly higher than your noted exposure time.
- Check that your camera's autofocus is turned on. In this case, many cameras display the text "Al Servo".
- Select (if your camera allows) only the center focus point. The camera often does this on its own.
- Now you only have to move your camera with the moving object while taking pictures. Most of the time, your first picture will not be perfect, here it helps to change the exposure time again.
