Monitor: Deactivate G-Sync - how it works

Many graphics cards from Nvidia support the "G-Sync" function, which is particularly useful for gamers. However, if you don't want to use this feature, you can also deactivate G-Sync. We explain how this works here.
Deactivate G-Sync: How to proceed
The "G-Sync" function provided by Nvidia ensures an almost smooth and lag-free gaming experience. The software communicates with your monitor and thus adjusts the image transfer rate of your graphics card to that of your monitor. If you don't want to use this feature, you can switch it off in a few steps.
- Contrary to what many suspect, the G-Sync function cannot be switched off via the monitor or the Windows settings. All you need is the "Nvidia system controls".
- To open it, switch to the desktop and click the right mouse button in an empty area. Now select the "Nvidia system controls" tab.
- Click on "Set up G-Sync" in the menu on the left.
- Remove the check mark at "Activate G-Sync" (see picture), the function is now switched off.
