Movie Maker: Remove sound - how it works
With the Movie Maker, you can remove the soundtrack with a small handle and instead, for example, insert music. We'll show you how to do it.
Remove audio track from Movie Maker
You cannot remove the sound track completely from Movie Maker, but you can set the sound to "silent":
- In Windows Movie Maker, click the video track.
- In the menu bar you will now find the "Video Tools" and "Edit" tabs. Select this menu
- The first button is already called "Video volume" and hides a volume control. Drag it all the way to the left and the sound is turned off.
You can now insert an audio file, for example music, into the project and place it under the video.
We'll show you a small effect for your film: In Movie Maker you can freeze the video image with screenshots.
