Merge MP3 files
In this article, we explain how you can combine several MP3 files without loss. This can be useful, for example, if you want to link the individual chapters of an audio book.
Merge MP3 files with mp3DirectCut
An easy-to-use program is the freeware "mp3DirectCut", which you can download here. After installation, start the tool and follow these steps:
- Click on "File" in the menu bar and then on "Series functions ...".
- In the new window, click on the "..." button at the top right. Then select the folder that contains the MP3 files that you want to connect.
- Here you can see all MP3 files that are in the folder. By default, all files are already selected. You can change the order of the files using drag & drop. Select individual files while holding down the control key, select several files in succession while holding down the shift key.
- In the "Action" area, check the "Merge - Name:" box. Confirm the message with "OK". Enter the desired name of the new file in the right input field. Then click on Start. The finished file is in the same folder as the individual MP3 files.
