MP3: adjust volume
If you want to adjust the volume of your MP3 files, you can do so in a few seconds with the free "MP3Gain" tool. We'll show you how to do it.
How to adjust the volume of your MP3 files
- First download the free software "MP3Gain". With this you can normalize songs without fear of loss of quality.
- Start the tool and insert the MP3 file. Using the buttons in the main menu, you can insert individual tracks as well as entire folders. This is particularly suitable for ripped CDs.
- Then enter a target value to which the songs should be adjusted. For example, if you want to hear the songs on the go, you should use about 3 decibels more due to the ambient noise.
- Now carry out a "track analysis" or "album analysis": While the selected title is adjusted in the track analysis, it is the whole folder in the album analysis.
- Then click on "Track adjustment" or "Album adjustment". Your MP3s are now normalized.
For further music editing, we recommend editing software such as "Audacity". You can find a small tutorial on the software here.
