Mp4 video: adjust volume
If the volume of your Mp4 video is too loud or too low for you, you can quickly adjust the audio track with the "XMedia Recode" program. We show you how this works in this practical tip.
Change the audio track of the MP4 file
- Download the "XMedia Recode" program.
- Start "XMedia Recode" and drag and drop the MP4 video onto the program window.
- Left click on the MP4 file so that it is highlighted in blue. Further tabs appear on the bottom, such as "Format" and "Audio".
- First go to the "Format" tab and select "MP4" from the "Format:" drop-down menu.
- Select the "Audio" tab and click on "Volume correction" in the left box.
- In the middle you will find the drop-down menu "Volume correction". Here you can choose between "Change volume (%)", "Change volume (dB)" and "Normalize volume (dB)".
- After you have adjusted the settings, you can click on "Add job" above. As a result, the "Coding" button appears on the right.
- If you select "encode", the volume of the MP4 video will be adjusted. You can find the file in your "own videos".
