MS Office Excel: Remove header
If you are annoyed by the header in your Office Excel worksheet, simply remove it. This is done quickly and not a lot of effort.
Remove header from an Excel worksheet
- First click on the "Insert" tab and select the "Header and Footer" option in the "Text" group.
- The worksheet is displayed in the page layout and the "Header and footer tools" tab is displayed.
- In the ribbon, switch to the "Header and footer" area and select "Header".
- Finally, click on the "None" option under "Header".
- If you want to go back to your worksheet, you have to click on "Normal" in the "Workbook Views" area on the "View" tab.
Excel: Permanently remove header
Of course, if you want to eliminate the header and / or footer, you can do that too:
- Open the "Page layout" tab in the "Page setup" area.
- You can make all other settings under "User-defined page margins".
