Convert table into text - how it works in MS Office Word
- Select the table that you would prefer to convert into continuous text. If you only want to convert a certain section of the table into text, mark this part with the left mouse button pressed.
- If the table is selected, you will see a new "Table Tools" tab in the ribbon. Click the "Layout" entry in this tab.
- In the ribbon that is now open you will find the "Data" command group on the far right with the "Convert to text" command. Activate the associated dialog box by left-clicking the mouse on this entry.
- You can now specify in the "Convert tables to text" dialog box whether the entries in your table in the text should be separated by paragraph marks, tab stops, semicolons or freely selected characters. Confirm your choice by clicking "OK" and your table will be converted to text.
