- To do this, click on the "Start" tab and select the "Search" entry in the "Edit" area.
- Alternatively, open the search with the key combination [Ctrl] + [F].
Find and replace text or numbers in Word
While you can only find your results more quickly with the pure search, you can also use the "Replace" function to change words, numbers or combinations of characters. For example, to eradicate common typos:
- Also open the "Start" tab and select the "Replace" entry in the "Edit" area.
- A two-line search bar appears in the document: Enter your search query in the upper area and the term in the lower area by which you want to replace what you are looking for.
- Under the "Advanced" button you will find options with which you can refine your search even further.
- Click "Replace" to change the currently highlighted word. With "Replace all" you correct all corresponding words in the document.
