Music Download Flatrates: These providers exist
A flat rate to download unlimited music? What seemed more or less impossible some time ago - at least legally - is no longer so unusual today thanks to many new music services. We will explain which options are available, which providers you can use and what costs you can expect.
Download flat rates for music - there are options
First of all, it must be said: There is unfortunately no provider with whom you pay a certain contribution and then download all the tracks of your choice as MP3 and transfer them to all your playback devices.
- Instead, so-called streaming services for music often also offer an option to store music offline and listen to it on different devices. This is then encrypted and saved on the respective device and deleted when you cancel the subscription.
- We would like to briefly introduce the Spotify, Deezer and Xbox Music services to you here. Other important names include Simfy, Napster, Juke and Music Unlimited. All of these services offer the download flat rate for 9.99 euros per month and differ little else. You can find out which one appeals to you most effectively with a trial subscription that offers almost all of these services free of charge.
- An alternative to this are programs that try to record the previously desired music in web radios and save it on your computer. This usually works very well with known titles, but less often with less known ones.
Music streaming and download with Spotify
The streaming service Spotify has now become a real classic. Compatibility with many different platforms is particularly advantageous for him. Spotify offers a customized program on a Windows PC, Mac or Linux, Windows Phone, Android or Blackberry. The range of music is also very broad. The download of music is only possible in the premium version, for which you pay 9.99 euros per month. Streaming with ads is free. If you want to enjoy music without advertising breaks, you pay 4.99 euros.
Music streaming and download with Deezer
Deezer offers a very similar offer. Here too, there are 20 million songs available that you can save offline in the Premium + version. However, PC, Mac or Linux users have to do without their own program. Deezer is only available here via the web app.
Music streaming and download with Xbox Music
With Windows 8, Microsoft's streaming service Xbox Music is becoming increasingly popular. This even offers 30 million songs for 9.99 euros a month for download. However, there are problems with the variety of platforms: Xbox Music can only be used on Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 devices and on the Xbox.
Record web radio with the Audials Radiotracker
Collecting music from web radios with the Audials Radiotracker is particularly convenient. Here you simply enter the desired title, let the radio tracker run and the desired pieces of music are searched for, recorded and saved on your computer. But you have no guarantee that you will actually get a desired piece of music. With around 30 euros in the full version, the Audials Radiotracker is not cheap, but it is well worth the money.
Record web radio with Radio.fx
The basic version of Radio.fx is available free of charge. It also lets you listen to and record songs from web radios. The annoying advertising can be removed in the program. However, you have to do without a search function for desired titles.
