Send music with the iPhone: Here's how
If you want to send music with the iPhone, Apple puts a few obstacles in your way. We'll show you how it works.
Music on iPhone can only be transferred to a limited extent
Apple's iOS is a very closed system, which can sometimes have a negative impact on users. You can now only send music from one iPhone to another with just a few apps, but the files remain within the app.
- Sending music from an iPhone to a computer or web service is unfortunately not possible. Apple does not allow such apps so that purchased songs are not easily distributed by the device. This is only possible with iTunes.
- We show you how to send music from iPhone to iPhone in the following paragraph.
Send music with iPhone
One of the few apps that still send music despite Apple's ban is the app Hoccer.
- Download the free app Hoccer from the App Store and start it.
- Press the "Invite friends" button and select a method. This can be done either with a letter code or a QR code to be scanned.
- If you are now connected to each other, you will be in a chat window, similar to Whatsapp (see picture).
- Press the button with the arrow at the bottom right of the input line. Select the "Music library" item in the menu.
- If you select a piece of music from your music collection, it will be sent to your contact. The latter can then listen to the song within the app. Unfortunately there is no way to export the song from the app to the local music library.
