You can cancel your MVV subscription in various ways. We'll show you how it's easiest and what you should consider.
Cancel MVV subscription of the IsarCard
- In order to cancel your IsarCard subscription on time, the MVV must have received the subscription cancellation at least one month in advance. Even if your subscription is actually valid for 12 months, you can also cancel it beforehand.
- Where to cancel If you bought the MVV subscription from Deutsche Bahn, you can also cancel the subscription online there. If you bought it from MVG, you can cancel it online there. You can use the logo on the card to find out where you bought the subscription.
- Here's how it works: If you want to cancel your ticket at the end of the 12 months, an email to or cancel it in the DB or MVG customer portal.
- If you want to cancel your subscription before the end of the 12 months, you must send the remaining season tickets together with your cancellation to the MVG subscription center by registered mail. A sample letter and address can be found here.
- Tip: Instead of canceling, it may be worth switching to a transferable subscription. So you can share the ticket with different people. If you drive longer distances outside of Munich, the AboPlusCard combination card could be attractive.
