Post: Change the forwarding order afterwards
Once you have sent your forwarding order, you can fundamentally no longer change the data. The customer service will help you in some exceptional cases:
- If, for example, you mistyped your forwarding order or entered an incorrect name by mistake, you can have it corrected.
- Call the free phone number 0228 4333111 and explain your concerns to the employees. Support is available Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- However, customer service cannot carry out a complete change of address for you. In this case you have to set up a completely new forwarding order:
Forwarding order: change address - how it works
To avoid paying twice, you should first stop your existing forwarding order. To do this, call customer service at the number above and ask them to stop service. Then set up a new forwarding order with the correct address:
- To do this, open this Deutsche Post website and click on "Send forwarding order".
- Then select whether the forwarding order is for private or business purposes.
- Now enter the reason for the forwarding order, the duration and the desired start date. Please note: The forwarding order can start at the earliest five days after booking.
- Fill in the remaining fields with your personal data and decide whether parcels should also be forwarded.
- Finally, click on "Add to Cart", choose a payment method and complete the booking.
