- The seeds and thus the oil are rich in gamma-linolenic acid and linoleic acid. Both are polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids.
- Linoleic acid makes up about 74 percent, gamma-linolenic acid is also sufficiently available at 8.7 percent.
