You don't just have to tell the GEZ a new address. You should also report any name changes after a wedding or divorce to the authorities immediately, so that there are no problems with paying the contribution. We show you how to do this.
Broadcasting fee: Notify GEZ name change
You no longer have to inform GEZ of your name change in writing. Rather, you can now take the necessary steps online:
- To do this, open this GEZ website in your browser.
- Fill in the first page of the form with your general data, which you also provided when registering the GEZ. So definitely use your old name here. You also need your personal contribution number, which you can find on the registration confirmation of the GEZ, in the purpose for a debit and on the payment requests.
- Then click on "Next".
- On the next page, enter your new first name or family name and confirm again with "Next".
- Check the entries for security again in the overview before submitting the form. Your name change is now complete.
