Napster: export playlist - how it works
With an additional tool you can export your Napster playlists to other platforms. We'll show you how to do it and what free options the tool offers.
Export Napster playlists
Thanks to Soundiiz, you can download your playlists or export them to different providers. Unfortunately, the former is chargeable. A subscription costs you $ 4.50 / month, and an annual fee of $ 3 / month. For the simple export to other providers like Spotify, you don't have to pay anything:
- Open the Soundiiz website and create an account. Alternatively, you can also use your Facebook account to log in.
- Click on the Napster icon and select "Connect" (see screenshot). Then enter your login details for your Napster account. This is necessary so that the service can access your playlists.
- You will then see all your Napster playlists. Press the icon with the three dots next to the playlist and select "Export as File".
- You can then choose between text, URL, JSON, XML and XSPF files. You can then exclude individual tracks from the playlist and start the download.
- Tip: Converting playlists to another platform like Spotify is free. Simply connect to any other provider and press "Convert" next to the playlist.
We'll explain in the next article whether you can remove DRM protection from Napster songs.
