Netflix in 3D in Germany - is there?
In the US, you can watch selected films in 3D on Netflix. In this article, we will tell you whether this also works in Germany and the requirements of the streaming provider.
Netflix 3D streaming in Germany - not yet available
Netflix has also been available in Germany since the end of 2014. While the film offering is already approaching the large selection in the USA, Germany is still lagging behind in other areas:
- So you can not currently stream films in 3D. The provider has not really expanded its 3D offering in the USA since 2013 either.
- It is also not clear when 3D streaming will be available in German Netflix. In the United States, the complex project is rather bumpy.
- Another practical tip will tell you whether the Netflix subscription is worthwhile without the 3D films.
Netflix: Estimated requirements for 3D movies
Should Netflix still expand its 3D program to Germany, the requirements will probably be the same as in the USA:
- There Netflix requires a bandwidth between 6 and 12 MBit per second. The higher the better.
- In addition, your provider must be able to connect to the Netflix Open Connect Content Delivery Network.
- So that you can watch the 3D films, your television and the corresponding players should of course also support the 3D format.
- The Netflix app must also be 3D-capable.
