Netflix: error h404 - you can do that
The Netflix error H404 is in most cases very easy to fix. We show you the possible solutions for your Android smartphone and your PC.
Netflix error H404: update app
Error H404 usually means that your version of Netflix is out of date and you therefore have to update the app:
- To do this, open the PlayStore on your Android phone, tap on the three horizontal bars and select "My apps and games".
- Tap Update on the Netflix app.
- In Windows 10, open the store and click the icon to the left of the search bar. Then select "Downloads and Updates" (see picture).
- Now click on "Check for updates". You start the update by clicking the down arrow on the right.
Alternatively, you can download the latest Netflix app from us as an APK file and then install it on your mobile phone. So your app is guaranteed to be up to date.
Error H404: Reinstall Netflix
If you can't find updates for your device, reinstalling Netflix can help.
- Start the Android Playstore app and search for "Netflix". Open the correct search result and tap "Uninstall".
- Then proceed identically and tap "Install". After the successful reinstallation, the error should not reappear.
- Proceed similarly for the Windows 10 app: Press the Windows key and select "All apps".
- Scroll down to the Netflix entry and right-click on it. Then select "Uninstall".
- Then open the store and type "Netflix" in the search bar. Then select the Netflix app and tap "Download". The error should no longer appear.
As soon as Netflix works again for you, you can even download Netflix content.
