Netflix: is there an offline mode?
Netflix is becoming increasingly popular as a television alternative, but not everyone can or wants to be online all the time. You can find out everything about Netflix's offline mode on this page.
Netflix: how offline mode works
Similar to Amazon Prime, Netflix now offers an offline mode for mobile devices with Android and iOS. This means you can watch selected films and series without an existing internet connection, for example in the park or on the train.
- To use the function, you need the latest version of the Netflix app for Android or iOS. The function is not yet available on Windows systems.
- You start the download of an episode or a film by clicking on the download icon on the corresponding page. This shows an arrow pointing downwards.
- Alternatively, open the menu and tap on "Available for download" to display an overview of all the content that you can download.
- At the moment (as of December 2016), the entire range of Netflix cannot yet be made available. The function is primarily available for series produced by Netflix.
