New SIM card: No internet - the most common mistake
If the SIM card is there with a new contract, but the Internet is not working, it is quite annoying. But the cause is almost always the same and we have the solution.

If the internet does not work with your new SIM card, this is almost always due to missing settings:
- Each provider has its own settings for mobile surfing. The so-called APN settings should actually be automatically transferred to your device. In some cases, however, this does not work properly, so that the smartphone cannot dial into the Internet.
- Your provider may also be working with other providers or using a different network. In this case one speaks of "national roaming". Most smartphones should be able to handle it, but it may block the data connection.
- It is also possible that your smartphone will not find the new network immediately. In this case, waiting or a manual network search helps.
