Set up Nexus 9: this guide will make it work
The Nexus 9 has appeared on the German market. This practical tip shows you how to set up the device.
Step 1: insert the nano-SIM into the Nexus 9
First of all, you need to insert the Nano-SIM card into the Nexus 9:
- Take the supplied SIM eject key and slowly insert it into the opening.
- Push gently until the card cover opens by itself.
- Carefully remove the card slot.
- Now place the nano SIM in the card compartment.
- Reinsert the tray and then slowly insert it into the device.
- You can then start with the first setup.
Step 2: first set up the Nexus 9
After inserting the nano SIM, you can start with the first setup:
- If you switch on the device for the first time after unpacking, you should note the following points.
- Connect the device to the power supply during setup. This will prevent the battery from discharging.
- Once you have turned on the phone, you will be guided through the setup process.
- First of all, you have to select the language to be used on the device.
- You can then connect to a WLAN or your provider's data network. However, we recommend using a WiFi network as you may need to download major updates.
- Now you need to sign in with your Google account. This is then linked to the phone. If you only have one Gmail address, you can simply log in here with your data. After a successful login, emails, contacts, calendars and more are automatically synchronized, provided that you have synchronized them with your account.
- If you don't have Gmail yet, you have to register one first.
