Nexus Mod Manager - This is how the game tool works
With the "Nexus Mod Manager" you download the user extensions on "Nexus Mods" to games like "Skyrim", "Fallout 3" or "Dark Souls" and integrate them conveniently. We'll tell you how the game tool works.
"Nexus Mod Manager": Download and install the game tool
- First, register on the Nexus website. Without an account, you cannot download the "Nexus Mod Manager" and are also limited to files with a maximum size of 2 MByte for the mod downloads.
- Now you can download the "Nexus Mod Manager".
- Start the downloaded EXE file and select "German" in the language selection. You will then be guided through the installation.
"Nexus Mod Manager": simply expand "Skyrim" and Co. with mods
- Start the "Nexus Mod Manager".
- The game tool will now automatically search for the games that the "Nexus Mod Manager" supports on your hard drive. Click on the respective red cross to cancel the process for a game. You can confirm found games by clicking on the green tick. If an incorrect path is displayed, you can also enter it manually.
- Now open a supported "Nexus Mods" portal (for example "Skyrim Nexus Mods") and click on a mod there.
- On the right next to the name of the mod you will see a download button. If you click on this, you have the choice between "Download with Manager" and "Download manually". Opt for the former.
- Now the file is downloaded in the "Nexus Mod Manager". As soon as it has been downloaded, it will appear under the "Mods" tab.
- If there is no green tick in front of the mod, it is not yet installed. Then just click on the blue puzzle piece directly above the red cross in the left bar (see screenshot) to install the mod.
- Finally, check whether the mod is also activated under the "Plugins" tab. If not, simply click the box above with a click of the mouse.
