NFC tag: set the alarm
With an NFC tag, you can even set your alarm clock, among other things. We explain how this works in this guide.
Set alarm clock with NFC tag
The easiest way to use your NFC tag is with the Trigger app. You can find the application for free download in our app area.
- Open the Trigger app and have your NFC tag ready. We have put together a list of NFC tag dealers for you if you don't have a tag yet.
- Tap the plus icon in the top right to add a new action.
- In the next window, click the plus symbol again and select "NFC" as the trigger. In the next window click on "Next" and adapt the settings to your needs. For example, the alarm clock can only be activated for Monday to Friday. Now click on "Done" and then on "Next".
- Now add a task to be performed after the "trigger". To do this, click the plus symbol again and select "Alarm" -> "Set alarm". Click "Next" and adjust the wake-up time and description. You can add more tasks if you want to trigger additional actions.
- Tap "Next" again until you land on the last page with the smartphone shown. You must now scan your NFC tag here. If you get the error message that the NFC tag could not be written, you have to install the reuse plugin. In this case, you can only use the NFC tag for this task with your smartphone. If you want to use the day with other devices, you have to set up the trigger app separately on the corresponding smartphones or tablets.
- After creating the task, you can easily set the alarm clock using your NFC tag.
Tip: If you not only want to set your alarm clock via NFC tag, but also want to stop ringing per day, you can set this up using the Puzzle Alarm Clock app. On the next page, we will also explain how to run NFC tags with a PIN lock.
