Rewrite NFC tags - how it works
With NFC tags, various tasks can be done with just one hand movement. In this practical tip, we explain how you can describe the little helpers anew.
Rewrite NFC tags
Most NFC tags are rewritable. If you are not sure whether your sticker or chip can also be reconfigured, the Android app "NFC TagInfo" helps and reads out all the important information for you. In order to describe the day anew, the "Trigger" application is suitable. How the new description works:
- Start the app and tap the plus symbol at the top right for a new task.
- Select "NFC" from the trigger list. Then tap "Next".
- Now name your task and add a task using the plus symbol. For example, you can connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi or a Bluetooth device when you touch the NFC tag.
- Tap Next when you have configured the task in more detail.
- You can also set up a two-step task. For example, you can activate the ringtone when you touch it for the first time and mute your phone when you contact it again.
- Finally, hold your smartphone against the NFC tag when prompted to do so on the display. Wait a moment, your NFC tag will now be rewritten with the task.
