Nintendo Switch: the best power banks
If you want to play with the Nintendo Switch for several hours on the go, you can't avoid a power bank. We show you what to look for when buying and which models are best suited.
Powerbank for the Nintendo Switch: that's what matters
The battery of the Nintendo Switch has a capacity of 4, 310 mAh, strong smartphones offer around 3, 000 mAh. Nevertheless, the battery lasts between 2.5 to 6 hours, depending on the load. 3 hours are realistic for continuous gaming.
- So that you don't run out of juice on the go, you don't have to carry the bulky power adapter with you. You won't be able to charge the switch anyway without a socket. A power bank can help.
- The portable battery stations hold up to 25, 000 mAh. However, this does not mean that the power bank surrenders the full capacity again. When converting the voltage and transmission to the switch, up to half of the capacity is lost, depending on the model.
- Depending on the load, the switch requires between 1.5 and 1.9 amperes. When buying, make sure that the power bank delivers at least 2 amps or 30 watts. Only with this sufficient current strength can you keep the battery level of the switch constant under full load. The remaining 0.1 amps still charge the battery minimally.

- The Anker PowerCore 10, 000 mAh creates a compromise between price and performance. The switch is fully charged almost twice for 26 euros, whereby the 2.4 amperes are completely sufficient.
