Nintendo Switch: Protect the docking station with felt pads
If you equip the docking station of your Nintendo Switch with felt pads, you prevent scratches on the display. You can get the felt gliders in different sizes, shapes and colors in your local hardware store. This practical tip shows you what you should consider.
Nintendo Switch: Attach the felt pads to the inside of the docking station
Unfortunately, Nintendo failed to provide appropriate protection from the factory.
- To avoid damaging the display of your Nintendo Switch, stick the felt pads on the inside of your docking station.
- Black felt pads that are not too thick (at most 2.5 mm) and cut into strips have proven their worth. Optimally, attach them to 4 corners on each inner side, for a total of 8 pieces.
- You now ensure that your Nintendo Switch does not scrape along the docking station even when the console is plugged in heavily.
- However, you should note that the felt glides can no longer be removed from the docking station without residue.
- If you don't want to stick your brand-new console straight on, but still want to protect it, you can use a screen protector as an alternative.
