A LAN connection on your Nintendo Switch is particularly important as this is the only way to download the digital content. In our article, we will show you how to set up the Internet on your Nintendo Switch.
Set up LAN connection for Nintendo Switch
In principle, setting up the Internet is very easy. All you need is a LAN adapter for the charging station of the Nintendo Switch.
- Plug the LAN adapter into the USB port on the charging station.
- Connect this to your TV set and then follow the instructions.
- First of all you have to go to the HOME menu of your Nintendo Switch. You do this by pressing the HOME button.
- Then select the small gear and you will get to the system settings, where you switch to the "Internet" tab.
- All available networks are displayed there, among other things. Decide on the option "Local Area Connection", then press "Connect to the Internet via Local Area Connection" and after a few seconds it should be activated.
- We recommend that you set up both a LAN and a WiFi connection on your Nintendo Switch.
- The device automatically switches to the currently available mode. For example, if you remove the console from the station, it will use the WLAN connection immediately.
If something is broken on your Nintendo Switch, you should make use of your guarantee. We will show you how long this is valid and how you can send a device back to Nintendo in our next article.
