Using Nintendo Switch with Wii Controller - is that possible?
If you want to operate your Nintendo Switch using the classic Wii controller, this is only possible via detours. We'll show you how it's done.
Nintendo Switch: Connect the Wii controller
In an interview, the President of Nintendo revealed that the Wii controllers may still be supported on the Switch at a later date. So far, the connection has only been possible via a very expensive detour.
- Setting up the connection is relatively simple. First, plug the Mcbazel Brook Adapter into the USB port on the docking station.
- Then plug the CronusMAX PLUS 2015 into the Mcbazel Brook adapter. Another Bluetooth adapter comes into this adapter.
- The connection to the Wii controller is established via the Bluetooth adapter. The incoming signals are read out in the CronusMAX. The Mcbazel Brook Adapter receives the signals and sends them to the Nintendo Switch.
- As simple as the connection between the switch and the Wii controller is, the cost will probably keep you from doing this. In total, all three adapters cost around 95 euros.
