The Nintendo Switch is the first hybrid console from Nintendo. In this article, we show you in which modes it can be used and which controllers it supports.
Nintendo Switch: Three game modes at a glance
- TV mode: In this mode, the Nintendo Switch is in the dock and is output via the TV. In this mode, the switch works like a normal home console and you can play comfortably from the couch, for example.
- Table mode: There is a stand at the rear of the switch that can be folded out. You can then place the console on a flat surface and play with the Joy-Con.
- Handheld mode: This mode turns the switch into a mobile console. With the two Joy-Cons docked on the side of the screen, you can use the switch on the go.
Controller for Nintendo Switch
- Each Nintendo Switch contains two Joy-Con, which are designed for the right and left hand. Depending on the game, the small controllers can be used several times when several people are playing.
- Joy-Con holder: If you insert the Joy-Con into the supplied holder, it becomes a controller that can be gripped with both hands.
- The Nintendo Switch Pro controller can be purchased separately and is equivalent to a traditional gaming controller.
