Download the classic Nintendo in the Virtual Console
The term Virtual Console refers to classic games that have been adapted for current consoles and can be bought and downloaded for little money. These include classics such as "Donkey Kong", "Super Mario World" or "Donkey Kong Country". The Virtual Console is available for Wii U, 3DS and the Wii.
- The Virtual Console had its origins on the Wii. There is therefore also the largest range of virtual console games. However, for some games you need a GameCube or Classic controller.
- Games from the following classic video game consoles are available on the Wii Virtual Console: NES, SNES, N64, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive, TurboGrafx-16, NeoGeo, Commodore 64, MSX and some classic arcade games.
- In the Virtual Console, the main focus of the 3DS is on old Game Boy games. In addition, all games offer a real-time storage function, so that you can use the game again at any point.
- Games from NES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Sega Game Gear are available on the 3DS Virtual Console.
- Virtual console games can also be downloaded on the Wii U. A real highlight: All games can only be played on the Wii U GamePad.
- Games from NES, SNES, Game Boy Advance and in the future also from Nintendo DS are available on the Wii U Virtual Console.
