Nintendo Wii U stops playing sound - what to do?
If your Nintendo Wii U no longer plays a sound, it is either due to incorrect settings or a defect. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Nintendo Wii U: No sound - what to do?
- Restart: Turn the Wii U off completely and then on again. Small errors in the buffer are thus solved. Also make sure the selected speakers are connected and turned on.
- Game: Start another game and check if the sound doesn't work here either. Under certain circumstances, only the sound for the game was deactivated. Open the options in the game and check whether such a function is available and activated.
- Settings: Also look in the audio settings of the Wii U for a suitable setting. When connecting for the first time, you must select the correct setting here.
- HDMI: When you connect the device to your TV via HDMI, sound and images are transmitted via the cable. A separate transmission of the sound is not possible.
No sound on the Wii U: warranty and repair
