Nokia Lumia 1320 vs. 1520 - The differences
We compare the Nokia Lumia 1320 and Lumia 1520 phablets for you and show you the biggest differences.
The hardware of the phablets: 1320 vs. 1520
Both smartphones come with gigantic dimensions. The Lumias have a six-inch display with a screen diagonal of 15.2 centimeters. However, the two phablets differ from the rest of the hardware.
- The Lumia 1320 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 1.7 GHz dual-core processor on board. This can top the 1520, because this is where a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor works.
- With the Lumia 1320, a gigabyte of RAM ensures fast, fluid work. But the 1520 can also beat that with two gigabytes.
- The Lumia 1320 scores with the case colors. In addition to the classic colors black and white, you also get the Lumia yellow and orange. The 1520 is available in black, white and yellow.
- There are also small differences in the batteries. The 1320 has a 3, 400mAh Li-Ion battery installed. The 1520 has a 3, 400mAh Li-Polymer battery inside. Li-polymer batteries generally have better runtimes. This is also shown by the information from Nokia. The standby time for the 1320 is approximately 28 days and the 1520 is 32 days.
- The Lumia 1320 has 8 GB of memory and can be expanded with a microSD card. The Lumia 1520 has 32 GB of memory and can also be upgraded with a microSD card.
- Another difference is the displays. Both phablets have an IPS ClearBlack LCD display, but the Lumia 1320 "only" has an HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1, 280 pixels. The Lumia 1520 has a Full HD display that brings 1, 080 x 1, 920 pixels to the screen.
The cameras of the big Lumias can do that
Smartphones cameras are getting better these days. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly interesting to use the cell phone as a digital camera. But the devices also differ significantly with the cameras.
- The Lumia 1320 has a 5 megapixel camera (resolution: 2560x1920 pixels) with LED flash. There is not much more to say about the camera, because the device has no PureView technology.
- With the Lumia 1520 you can look forward to a 20 megapixel camera (resolution: 5248x3936 pixels) with LED flash. The lens is from Carl ZEISS. The 1520 also supports the PureView camera technology, which makes images appear significantly brighter in low light conditions and less noise can be seen in the photo.
