Remove Norton Toolbar - Here's how it works
If you use Norton security software, your browser is also equipped with the Norton Toolbar. In this article, we explain in a few steps whether and how you can remove them.
The Norton Toolbar - part of the Norton software
- The Norton Toolbar is an integral part of the Norton security bundles. If you have installed Norton Security 2015, for example, the browser toolbar is also necessarily available on your system.
- You cannot completely remove Norton Toolbar one at a time. Instead, you would have to uninstall the entire Norton suite. The best option is the free Norton Removal Tool, with which you can completely remove the security software. Note: If you uninstall Norton completely, you should definitely install another virus scanner.
- The Norton Toolbar cannot be removed individually, but you can deactivate the browser extension without foregoing the rest of the Norton components. Read how to do this in the next section.
