Write notes in OpenOffice - how it works
You cannot write notes in OpenOffice using the standard fonts. We help you to install the correct notation quickly and easily.
New font for OpenOffice: installing musical notation
- You can find a wide selection of "Music" fonts on dafont.com. Many of the fonts shown there are fun fonts with music images, but you will also find correct notation fonts such as "Lassus" or "Nocturnal Experience".
- Download the respective font using the "Download" button.
- You will now receive ZIP files that you can click on and install the font files. For example, click on "LASSUS.TTF" and then on "Install" in the top left corner.
- Now you have installed the font on your system and can start OpenOffice.
- Under "Font" change the selected font to your notation and write on it.
