You are using the Notify app and would like to activate or deactivate push notifications? In this practical tip, we explain step by step how you can do this on your iPhone or Android smartphone.
Notify on the Android smartphone: How to activate push notifications
You cannot activate or deactivate the push messages from Notify (formerly Insta-News) on Android smartphones directly in the app. This is done via the settings .
- Call up the settings on your smartphone.
- First select Apps & notifications and then Show all apps .
- In the list, click Notify and then click Notifications .
- Here you can now switch the notifications on or off. There are also advanced options, for example to set the messages to "silent" or to activate / deactivate the vibration.
Notify: Turn push messages on or off on iPhone
If you use the Notify app on your iPhone, you have to activate or deactivate the push messages in the settings of the smartphone. You cannot do this directly in the app. How to do it:
- Open the Settings app on iPhone.
- Then click on Notifications and look for the Notify app in the open list. Click Notify in the list.
- Alternatively, you can scroll down in Settings until you find the Notify app. And then click on Notifications under Notify.
- No matter which way you choose, you will now come to an interface where you can activate or deactivate the messages (under Allow messages ). You can also choose whether you want to see the notifications on the lock screen, as a message, or as a banner. In the case of the banner, it is also possible to choose whether the message should be displayed temporarily or permanently.
- You can also enable or disable tones and flags for the messages. And also choose whether to display a preview.
