O2 DSL fault: You can do that
If there is an O2 DSL fault, you can easily determine whether the problem lies with the provider or whether you can fix the Internet error yourself. We'll show you how to do it best.
O2 DSL: Check whether there is a problem with the provider
If your WLAN is not working, you can easily check whether the problem is with O2.
- On the website allestault.de you can find out whether there are current fault reports for O2.
- If so, you have no way to fix the problem. You have to wait for the provider to fix the error.
- If you do not find any messages here, the cause is probably not O2. If you are not sure, contact the O2 hotline: You will find free telephone numbers for customer service in a clearly organized manner.
Routers and browsers as possible causes
If you have ruled out that there is a fault with O2 itself, you can continue to search for the cause.
- Check the lights on your router. Check to see if the DSL indicator is on or just blinking.
- Disconnect the powered router for a few minutes. Often a DSL problem is solved. Also examine the cable connections from the router for sources of error.
- If the problem persists, check the firewall settings on your PC. These can often cause Internet connection problems. Briefly switch off the firewall and test whether the DSL problem is now resolved.
- Another source of error can be the browser. Therefore, try whether the malfunction also occurs with another browser. If this is not the case, you should reset your browser.
- Instructions on how to reset Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge can be found in other practical tips.
