If the internet connection via O2 on your mobile phone is very slow, you can fix some causes yourself. We summarize the most common reasons and their solutions in this article.
O2: Slow Internet on the mobile phone
- If the mobile internet on your smartphone is very slow when surfing via O2, you should first check your location. If you are in public places with a lot of people and high data traffic, the network may be congested. This applies, for example, to football stadiums or busy, public spaces.
- Also check whether you still have enough high-speed volume or whether your speed has been throttled. To do this, log in to the O2 website and check your previous data consumption and tariff.
- Make sure in the settings of your smartphone that 4G and 3G connections are activated. Under certain circumstances, activate and deactivate the flight mode to dial in to the mobile network again.
- There may be a temporary fault in the O2 network. You can find out how to check this in these instructions.
- If your mobile internet connection is unusually slow in the long term despite the high-speed tariff and without data choke, you should contact O2 customer support.
