Increase O2 Internet MB: Book additional data volume - how it works
Below you will find out how you can book additional data volumes with O2.
Increase data volume for your smartphone at O2
Previously, you could only request additional data volume from O2 via a hotline or customer chat - there was and is no form on the website. However, since the beginning of this year there has been another option:
- From February 2015, O2 will introduce a so-called automatic data system for its Blue tariffs. Previously, you as a customer had to order additional data volume - now this should happen automatically. Note: The data automation only applies to contracts that were concluded in February 2015 or later.
- As soon as your high-speed data volume is used up, 100 MByte will be booked automatically with the Blue tariffs. You will be charged two euros for this. If the additional 100 Mbytes have also been used up, the mobile operator immediately shifts 100 Mbytes behind without being asked. In total, up to 300 Mbytes can be automatically posted. That would add you
- If you had three subsequent bookings per month for three consecutive months, the following month - also automatically - a data volume of 500 Mbytes or one GByte for five euros will be booked depending on the tariff. The additional GByte is available for tariffs with a data volume of three GByte or more.
- From February 2015, the automatic data function is automatically activated for every Blue tariff. To switch it off, you must explicitly contact O2 customer service.
